Geo Fencing Opens Doors

As sales people, we’re always looking to a new way to engage prospective customers. In the “olden days” we’d make a cold call and ask to meet them so that we could about their business. We’d tell them about our stations and hopefully get the chance to come back with some sort of sales package. Not surprisingly, there aren’t a lot of takers for those types of meetings.

Start with an idea. This is where geo-fencing can be such a great tool. For example, call on a restaurant near the minor league stadium in your town and ask him or her, if they could put a message on the smartphones of the people sitting in the stands, what would it be? Can I come talk to you about this and other ideas we have to help local restaurants attract new customers? Most likely you’ll get a yes. Creativity and ideas sell!
